Nasal steam inhalation using Honeysuckle combined with household herbs

SINUSITIS is a chronic condition, often recurring during seasonal transitions. It is a difficult condition to treat and currently a concern for many, as medications only provide temporary relief without addressing the root cause.

Traditional medicine offers several remedies that are highly effective against Sinusitis. One of them is HONEYSUCKLE. It is considered a natural antibiotic that has been used for centuries worldwide.

The antibacterial, antifungal,
Antiviral properties of Honeysuckle have been applied in the treatment of sinusitis.

Below, I would like to share a non-pharmacological method that can alleviate symptoms during both acute and chronic stages of this uncomfortable condition:

How to take a steam bath is as follows:

  • 4-6g dried honeysuckle flowers
  • 8g quince leaf branches
  • 4g crushed ginger root
  • 8g lavender flowers.

Clean the quince leaf branches, ginger root, and lavender flowers.

Put them in a small pot with 500ml of clean water.

Cover tightly and bring to a boil.

After boiling for 5 minutes, uncover and add the honeysuckle flowers. Cover tightly again, turn off the heat.

Choose a closed room or a place with little airflow for steaming.

Cover your head with a towel, then slowly uncover the pot to avoid scalding.

Stir evenly with a chopstick (or bamboo stick) to let the steam rise.

Steam for 15-20 minutes, then stop.

Acute stage: steam once a day.

Chronic stage: steam every other day.
